I'm back......

Hi everyone, back from my hols and have missed you all!!!! Had a wonderful time apart from 2 pieces of bad news; the airline I worked for went into administration so I lost my job! I'm guessing you all know it was XL Airways!!! Then I learned that a colleague had passed away, he was the same age as me, so very sad news indeed.

Apart from that I'm in good spirits and hope to get back into card making soon, better start looking for another job first though eh?!!!

Meanwhile, a couple of snaps of the south of France. The one with the lake was taken because a group of Flamingos decided to land there outside our campsite one day!!!! (Note to self, must invest in a decent camera!!!)

first and last...........

Hi Everyone, I must apologise for not posting for ages, I've been sooooo busy this week!

so this is my first post for a while and also my last for the next 4 weeks! I will be out of the country now firstly on hols then on business!

Anyway, so I will post 2 tonight... the first is my Daughters Birthday card, she'll be 18 tomorrow!! How old do I feel???? I used K&Co Roam Designer pad and Basic Grey Sugared, Doodlebug trim, chipboard embellishments free from Mag, Papertrey Inc Aqua Mist ribbon, Cricut Home Accents cart for flourish bottom right. Also finally got my Fiskars Water Threading punch!! so used that on velvet card at the bottom.

Second card is my first Christmas Card for this year, Magnolia image, papers from DCVW Christmas stack, red polka dot is Doodlebug, so is the ribbon, brad from Dovecraft and greeting from Craftwork Cards. Used tonnes of Glamour Dust on clothing and present, but I don't think it shows up much.....Used my new threading water punch along the bottom of the card blank again! Hope you like them...... See you when I get back.......... which will be first week in October!! OMG!!!

Card for my Uncle and WW update

Nearly the weekend!! well obviously from the pic, this a card for my uncle, I kept it simple with just his name and a computer generate circle and a Doddlebug cardstock sticker, the papers are from the K&Co Hopscotch designer pad. The card base is a scallop 6 x 12 sheet from Bazzill.

W.W. update - lost another 1 1/2 pounds this week, only another pound to go for a stone!!!!

Baby Girl card

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all having a great Bank Holiday weekend?....... We did the Car Boot this morning and I met a lot of lovely craft related people and I have made more new friends too, I have exchanged email adresses with a few too. All the money we raised was meant to be for our holiday fund in 2 weeks time, but Hubby said I could keep it all!! He's just the best husband in the world!!! Anyway, goodness I am ranting!!! Rachelle Anne Miller stamp I have used before but it's so gorgeous I have used it again, this time on a baby girl card. I can't remember what the papers are, but I got them from Crafts U Love, I coloured with Prismas and sansodor and chalked around the edges, bit of cutting and doodling, sticky back pearls also from Crafts U Love... matted with Mirri Card and cut with Nesties hope you like...... Also... do you like my new header? thanks to Tracey for the little tip she gave me..

Magazine and W.W. Update

Thanks to the lovely Kim Fee for pointing this out... I'm sooo blonde sometimes... I didn't even spot it, another card in the Cardmakers Yearbook 2009 gallery from the other day!! again the photo is not too good...

Hubby and I have just finished loading the car up for the Horley Car Boot Sale tomorrow morning so early rise for us (6.00am), have lots of craft stuff to sell if you're in the area....

W-W-Update.... stayed the same weight this week!! I get so frustrated with it sometimes!!!!

Edited to say, the English weather let us down this morning, although it's nice and sunny now, at 0600 this morning it was chucking it down!! so we went back to bed and will do the car boot tomorrow on Bank Holiday Monday now! weather forecast is good, so fingers crossed!

Alota boy

Hi Everyone, hope you have all had a great week...... here's a little card from me.... Stampin' Up! papers and this cute little boy from Alotarubberstamps. I coloured him with the usual Prismas and sansodor. Just added a button from stash, punched some of the dots from the paper and stamped a little whirl in the middle and Cuttlebugged a strip of card for him to stand on. sorry about the poor lighting on the pic!!! hope you like.......
